- Illinois Women in Leadership (IWIL) Served on the IWIL board of directors 2012-2017. Holding the following positions, Treasurer-2 years, Vice President, President and Past President. She also served on the Women’s Symposium Committee and Chair of the Athena Awards.
- Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Illinois Member of the Board of Director’s serving as the Vice Treasurer and Chair of the Fundraising Committee. Co-Chair of the 30th Anniversary Gala with revenue of $150,000.
- Rotary Club of Springfield South She has been a member of Rotary South of Springfield since December 2012. She served on the Board of Director as the Treasurer from 2014-2018 and President in 2021.
- Land of Lincoln Goodwill Industries (LLGI) Member of the Board of Directors since 2021 and has been serving as the Treasurer since 2022.
- Springfield Police Pension Fund Member of the Board of Director’s since 2024 to present.

Interesting Fact: Cheri asked to be released from the hospital a day early when she had her first daughter so that she didn’t miss FRIENDS… this was pre-DVR!!
